Sam started playing piano when he was 8, and taught himself improvisation during high school, when he realized that sheet music was limiting his potential as a musician. He wanted to be able to sit down and play something to fit the mood, rather than needing to have practiced something beforehand. With the help of only a couple Youtube tutorial videos, he set out to learn how to CREATE, the hard way, with no influence besides the lessons learned from repeated mistakes and errors.

You can see Sam play live at various wine bars and restaurants around the South-East Washington area.
